The Cathedral of Santa Maria of Toledo, also known as the Primatial Cathedral of Toledo, is the current seat of the Archdiocese of Toledo.

The Holy Metropolitan Cathedral began construction in the year 1227 on the foundations of the Visigothic Cathedral from the 6th century, which, in turn, was used as a mosque.

Built with white stone from Olihuelas, it features spectacular chapels such as the main chapel, a splendid chapterhouse, extraordinary stained glass windows, a sacristy housing works by important painters, and a bell tower from which magnificent views of the cathedral can be appreciated.
